Guided mountain hike with panoramic views of Ålesund
Join a guided mountain hike over the city mountain Aksla – an active and scenic experience that combines spectacular views, local history and physical activity.
The tour starts in the center of Ålesund and goes up to the Rundskue viewpoint, before continuing towards Fjellstua and returning via the stairs down to the city park. Finally, we walk a short distance through the center.
A trip with views in all directions
From the city center we ascend 195 meters to the city mountain. Along the way, the landscape opens up with views of the fjords and mountains that surround the city.
On the way down we get a panoramic view of the islands and the open sea. From the Rundskue viewpoint, on clear days, you can see up to 200 mountain peaks – one of the most famous and photographed viewpoints in the region.

The trails consist mainly of gravel, with some sections of natural rock.
Difficulty level
This is a moderately demanding hike that requires good physical fitness and suitable footwear. The hike is suitable for active participants who want a nature experience combined with guiding and local information.
