Ålesund Guide Association (ÅGF) was founded in 1985 and is an interest association for local, authorized guides in Ålesund and the district. The association currently has around 90 members and is the second largest guide association in Norway.

Ålesund Guide Association (ÅGF) was founded in 1985 and is an interest association for local, certified guides in Ålesund and the district. The association currently has around 90 members and is the second largest guide association in Norway.
Our guides offer tours in more than 10 different languages and have solid local knowledge of Ålesund, the region's history, culture and society.

Guide courses and professional development
Ålesund Guide Association organizes guide course for new members. In order to maintain high quality guide services, thematic meetings and study tours are also held regularly for members.
This contributes to professionally updated guides and a strong local professional community.
Daily tours from the tourist information office
During the months of June, July and August, Ålesund Guide Association offers daily city walks in Ålesund city centre. The city walks are a collaboration with Ålesund Tourist Information and have been held for more than 20 years. The tours start from the Tourist Information in the city centre and give participants a good introduction to the city's history and character. From the 2026 season, city walks can also be booked via GetYourGuide.
